Kindly reach me on or Role: Sr.Big Data Engineer/Lead Duration: 12 months Location: Richmond, VA 1. AWS (If they have GCP and Azure this may be transferrable) 2. Spark 3. HDFS 4. Microservices Background 5. API's 6. Python/ScalaExpectation: Mastery level of big data and being able to understand the whole skill set above. They should be able to work through the Python and Scala code at a managerial level. So basically, being a master Data Engineer with managerial tendencies. They are expected know expert level of Python or Scala, but not expected to know both. If they are doing a transformation job off a stream or S3 they should be using AWS infrastructure like Lambda and be able to execute a Python code off this. One of the complements would be understanding finance. DevOps background is also a big nice to have. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree At least 3 years of experience delivering data solutions using open-source languages At least 3 years managing people & teams At least 3 years of experience utilizing scripting languages At least 4 years of experience developing ETL solutions At least 4 years of experience utilizing SQL in data solutions Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience delivering data solutions using open-source languages 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL in complex data solutions 3+ years of experience utilizing scripting languages 5+ years of experience developing ETL solutions 5+ years of experience utilizing SQL in complex solutions 2+ years of experience developing, deploying, testing in AWS public cloud AWS certification
