Job Description :
Database administration in a SQL 2012 – 2016 environment, experience with SQL 2019 a plus
Experience with Replication (primarily transactional)
Experience with database migrations between large, multi-database platforms
Experience with HADR clustering and operations
Experience with PowerShell and PowerShell scripts run from a Central Management server environment
Ability to write and troubleshoot efficient TSQL code
Some Windows server management experience
Foundational understanding of Active Directory and Windows networking
Familiarity with Enterprise Storage, such as NetApps
Familiarity with Virtualization, such as vSphere
Experience with SSIS and building/maintaining ETL packages
Experience with Reporting Services (SSRS)
Experience designing SQL Servers for upgrade/migration projects
Experience in a multiple-domain environment, SPNs, trusts and so on
Query optimization and working with developers to assist with troublesome queries and to identify opportunities for efficiency
Deep understanding of both maintenance plans as well as the SQL Agent job engine and the ability to analyze, repair and migrate Agent jobs
Experience in working on large projects, such as large server migrations with re-architecture of said servers … hence, the ability to work with customer agencies to determine their needs and constraints in accomplishing the project objectives
Current knowledge of SQL Server Security ‘best practices’


Helpful skills:

Some knowledge of data warehousing
Some knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI (on-prem) would be helpful
Some knowledge and/or experience with SQL Server in Azure (other cloud platforms would also be helpful)
