Job Description :
The Solutions Engineer is responsible for determining requirements, designing, developing, debugging, testing and implementing technical solutions using existing and emerging technologies, particularly on, but not limited to, the agency''s Office 365 platform.

This role collaborates with end users and cross departmental IT and business teams to build and implement new systems to solve business problems and help focus and align IT services and business needs. This is a hands on technical role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The following duties are a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.

Facilitate the translation of business objectives and requirements into functional solutions using Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate.
Prepare and document requirements, solution diagrams, flowcharts, layouts and test plans.
Analyze, define, estimate, and document work Level of Effort.
Design, develop, test, debug, and implement technical solutions based on existing and emerging technologies.
Develop workflow and process automation solutions on Office365 PowerApps, SharePoint, Power BI and Flow, AgilePoint, and other tools as necessary.
Communicate concisely and effectively to address questions while providing subject matter expertise.
Respond to critical or changing priorities.
Explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
Connect technological solutions with user and agency needs.
Develop innovative technical approaches as complete solutions to business problems.
Provides support of implemented solutions; oversees account management, account creation, changes and deletion; performs application & technical process support, error support (troubleshooting), and enhancement support; and performs maintenance and system security as required/needed.
Participates in preventative maintenance weekends and after-hours maintenances (as needed) to ensure that patches and critical updates are applied to the environment; documents work performed and maintains accurate change management records; updates solution documentation via run books and processes documentation as needed.
Drive problem investigations and resolution as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor''s Degree in computer science, information technology, business management/administration, or closely related field and 4 years of information technology experience that includes a minimum of 1 years hands-on ServiceNow administration or development; a minimum of 2 years of Office365 solution development or administration; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Licenses or Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals Certification
Possession of a valid Driver''s License

Required Knowledge of:
Business process design and business analysis.
System integration techniques and programming.
ServiceNow platform administration and development.
Office 365 platform administration and development.
Information Security and Compliance.
ITIL and Change Management principles.
UI and UX principles.
Databases, including SQL and schemas.
Business Intelligence and data management best practices.
Knowledge of IT applications, processes, software, and equipment.

Required Skills:
LowCode, Workflow, and Forms development for business process automation including but not limited to:
o Office 365 tools Power Apps, Power Automate, Teams, Planner, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Power BI, Forms, and Connectors, etc.
Other 3rd party tools such as AgilePoint, QuickBase, DocuSign, and A e eSignature etc.
Systems integrations, such as web services, API''s, SOAP, MID, etc.
Requirements elicitation.
Establishing and maintaining working relationships with other staff, management, vendors and outside entities.
JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3, XML, AJAX, JQuery, Angular JS, React
KPI, Report, Dashboard and Web Page development.
Programming expertise developing and maintaining web components using XML, .NET, SQL, and C
SQL authoring and data modeling.
Efficient process definition and implementation.
Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products, such as Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Work is performed in a standard office environment.
Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 25 pounds.
