Description of Services: Texas Health and Human Services Commission requires the services of 2 Software Test Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Software Test Analyst 3 Category, Core Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission.

All work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire" and are the property of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by the Texas law. Texas Health and Human Services Commission will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s
The DCS - Legacy DSHS Application Remediation EI#2 project will remediate the technology platform of four legacy applications that are out of compliance with the legislatively-mandated Data Center Services (DCS) contract in order to bring those systems into compliance with regulations and requirements. The four applications are: Conscientious Objector Affidavit Request, Conscientious Objector Junior College, Conscientious Objector Processing and Poison Control Database.
Duties:
Work from a Master Test Plan (MTP) document to develop detailed test plans and test cases.
1. Use HP-ALM to document Software Releases, Test Plans and Test Steps
2. Use HP-ALM to record the results of running test cases
3. Prepare reports documenting test case coverage and results of testing.
4. Work with other team members to understand proper functioning of the applications to be tested.
5. Able to work both in team and independently with minimal guidance.
6. Finds ways to improve solutions, systems, and processes.

8 Required Excellent analytical, problem-solving and team collaboration skills
5 Required Documenting software defects using a defect tracking tool and confirming fixes to reported software defects
5 Required Working with automated test tools
5 Required Test Case Development
5 Required Skills with Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
5 Required Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities
5 Required Oral and written communication skills
3 Required Developing Test Cases with HP-ALM for web applications
3 Required Developing Functional Test Plans with HP-ALM
3 Required Executing Test Plans and Test Cases using HP-ALM
1 Preferred Experience with public health information systems and software applications
