Position: Software Quality Engineering Manager
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 6 Months+
Visa: ONLY USC / GC
Rate: $60/hr, on C2C
Manage manual and automation software testing activities and resources for systems implementation and O&M software development projects.
Design and develop automation and manual Testing Strategy and Test Plans as required for project releases
Provide estimates for testing level of efforts for manual and automation and participate in estimation reviews
Procure and manage/assign management of the testing environments for application product, systems integration, regression and trading partner testing for systems implementation.
Evaluate Test Automation methodology and tools currently in use to provide recommendations and participate in implementing changes.
Participate in performance testing activities as needed.
Set annual goals for the team members and evaluate the performance once quarterly.
Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Follow processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Work collaboratively across various functional areas across the project
Provide guidance to direct reports within the latitude of established company policies. Maintain testing documentation to comply with reviews and audits which is to ensure compliance with documented plans, procedures, and standards as required.
Technical Skills / Knowledge Required:
10+ years experience in functional testing in manual and automation capacity, with a minimum of 3+ years as a test lead and a year holding a manager title in mid-large sized project of web and mobile based applications hosted in Cloud or hybrid environments.
Experience with automation tools including Selenium Web Driver to develop, implement and maintain automation framework
Thorough understanding of all phases of SDLC in an AGILE, SCRUM environment.
Advanced proficiency with Test Management and defect tracking tools
Hands on experience with writing code in languages such Python and Java
Experience with SQL queries, REST/SOAP based web services testing using tools such as SOAP UI/Postman
Worked in a DevOps environment and experienced in CI/CD tools to integrate test automation as part of the automatic build deployment pipelines
Familiar with containerization and container orchestrated tools
Experience with performance testing

Ability to do presentations and walkthroughs with Systems and Business personnel
Ability to work well in a fast paced environment under deadlines in a changing environment.

Must be organized and detail oriented
Additional Skills / Knowledge Preferred:
Healthcare Industry experience is a plus.
Exposure to Microservices architecture
Education Requirement:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
