Position: Software Engineer Flowable BPM

Location: 100% Remote Contract: 12+ Months Contract

Job Description:

  • Design, develop, and implement business process workflows using the Flowable BPM, CMM engine.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical workflow solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Java-based microservices and integrate them with Flowable processes.
  • Configure, customize, and optimize BPMN, CMMN, and DMN models in Flowable.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and services to support workflow solutions and integrations.
  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing for workflow solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Support deployment, continuous integration, and DevOps practices related to workflow solutions.
  • Document technical designs, implementation steps, and support knowledge transfer.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in BPM, Java, and workflow orchestration technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Java developer (preferably with Spring/Spring Boot).
  • 2+ years of proven experience with Flowable or other BPM/workflow engines.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, RESTful APIs, and web services integration.
  • Hands-on experience with BPMN, CMMN, and DMN standards.
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of source control and DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker, etc.).
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum teams.
