Location: Ft. Washington, PA (will start remotely due to COVID-19 but will require being on-site once things clear up)

Position Summary:
The Database Administrator will ensure that the Business Unit’s computing environment, serving both internal employees and external customers, is built and maintained to provide a high level of availability.
This person’s main focus will be the support of the Customer Data Platform.
The candidate will work “hands on” and closely with several people in a very collaborative manner.
Candidates should be proactive, motivated, organized, extremely flexible, and work well within fast-paced groups.
This position will be part of the application support team and will be expected to learn basic knowledge of other applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain the Customer Data Platform (CDP)
Monitoring health, tuning, and growth of such on premise and cloud databases
Provides release management support for databases and related applications
Ensures security and maintenance of databases
Manage and monitor user access to the databases
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors
Maintains schema and objects
Create Documentation as required
Database problem diagnostics and resolution
24x7 on-call support rotation
Familiar with SDLC and Release Management
Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field
Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
7+ years of experience in MS-SQL Database Administration required
Demonstrated strong proficiency of T-SQL
Experience with SQL replication and SQL Server Agent
Experience with MS-SQL software installation, upgrade, patching
Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Marts
Demonstrated proficiency of SSIS and SSAS
Demonstrated proficiency of index design, query plan optimization and analysis required
Demonstrated knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS alerting/monitoring tools
Experience with AWS CLI and Networking
Demonstrated knowledge of MS-Windows environments
Knowledge of Virtual Machines and SANs
Willingness to learn new skills and new knowledge
Experience in managing high transactional large databases
Ability to work well both independently and with other team members
Ability to multi-task required and provide rapid support in production
