SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER - REMOTE – WORLDWIDE
Site reliability engineering (SRE) is a discipline that incorporates aspects of software and systems engineering and applies them to infrastructure and operations so as to deliver fault tolerant systems that have reliability and uptime appropriate to users'' needs as well as a fast rate of improvement ongoing or when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will combine software and systems engineering to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems with appropriate reliability and uptime.
Site Reliability Engineers will oversee systems capacity and performance.
Much of our client’s software development focuses on optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure and eliminating work through automation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 4 years designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
Expertise in debugging, optimizing code, and automating routine tasks.
Expertise in systematic problem-solving, coupled with a sense of urgency.
Solid understanding of Unix / Linux operating systems.
Expertise in programming in at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Rust.
Comfortable working remotely with very little supervision, but also at ease collaborating as a member of a global team.
Comfortable working with shell scripting (a computer program designed to be run by the Unix shell; a command-line interpreter
Expertise working with algorithms and data structures.
Bachelor''s degree (computer science or other relevant technical degree in software / systems engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
Very good English language communication skills - both verbal and written.
COMPENSATION:
Excellent salary - commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits. Salary can exceed $200,000 per annum.
