SharePoint Online Migration Specialist

100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Online Migration Specialist to lead and execute migration projects from on-premises or legacy systems to SharePoint Online. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SharePoint architecture, migration tools, and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring seamless, secure, and efficient data transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute SharePoint migrations (on-premises to SharePoint Online / Microsoft 365).
Assess existing SharePoint environments and develop migration strategies.
Use migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix, Microsoft Migration Tool).
Perform content restructuring, data cleansing, and permission mapping.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance during migration.
Troubleshoot migration issues and provide post-migration support.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define scope.
Develop documentation, migration plans, and testing procedures.
Conduct UAT and user training sessions.
Optimize SharePoint Online performance and governance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
4+ years of experience with SharePoint (Online and/or On-Premises).
Hands-on experience in SharePoint Online migration projects.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, OneDrive, and Teams integration.
Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
Understanding of SharePoint permissions, site structures, and governance.
Familiarity with Azure AD and security best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint).
Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
Knowledge of information architecture and content management best practices.
Experience in large-scale enterprise migrations.
