Job Summary:

• The Iowa Department of Human Services is seeking a ServiceNow Developer (SDP6 Contractor) to develop custom interfaces as well as support the ServiceNow (FedRAMP compliant) platform for DHS.
• The Division of Information Technology (DoIT) provides adaptable, secure, and cost-effective technology services and solutions across the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS) divisions, partners, and citizens. • Responsibilities will be to work directly with the business and technical teams to document requirements, develop and implement custom interfaces, and provide administrative support on the ServiceNow platform.

Responsibilities of the ServiceNow Developer role include but are not limited to:

• Gather and document business requirements
• Serve as a developer working in an agile environment with DHS to build functionality in ServiceNow platform (and Service Portal)
•  Working with the ServiceNow instance and functionality, performing custom development work within the environment
• Workflow configuration and customization
• Participate in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation
• Ensure governance policies and best practices are followed
• Drive process standardization and automation throughout all areas
• Support the entire development lifecycle
• Perform daily administrative tasks to support ServiceNow platform
• Work collaboratively as a key member of the team
• Need a strong attention to detail, ability to problem-solve within a team and independently, ability to communicate effectively and often, manage multiple streams of work concurrently, and display strong commitment and ownership of development work
