DESCRIPTION OF WORK/DUTIES

The Consultant shall perform all of the following duties:

Deploy Tenable scanning function to encounter all assets across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Integrate Tenable system with ServiceNow database utilizing ServiceNow API.
Provide process recommendations, technical architecture governance for the secure assets inventory and configuration and help set the standards for configuration management process.
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, trace transaction flow and use logging facilities for problem solving. Communicate assets discovery results and capabilities to management
Identify and track configuration items (Cis), implement change control and account for discovered/manual CIs in the County IT environment.
Design and implement of solution for maintaining CI data integrity across the CI lifecycle with consideration to the IT service management process
Maintain ServiceNow assets and configuration database health to support assets and configuration and CI relationships, as coming from discovered sources, manual sources from like relationship data from network team.
Reconcile solution of data when exceptions are noted between assets and configuration database, discovery information, and other production data repositories.
Explain the new details of new solutions and their impact on business processes.
Ensure that the customer understands the solution and receive responses to all open questions and action items.
Prepare configuration management database documents and specifications. Configure the solution, and create, execute and maintain accurate and detailed test plans for testing.
Analyze and remediate Tenable assets discovery errors. Work with technology teams to ensure the tool has the access and permissions necessary to scan.
Review the results of recently deployed devices, such as servers, computers, printers; and verify that Tenable has found them and is properly inserting into ServiceNow secure assets database.
Setup Tenable asset scaning schedules and IP Ranges. Schedule discovery and run on demand discovery or delegates authority. Validate discovery results, iterate rediscovery, repair discovery.
Assist with audits of assets data to ensure that the data is accurate and complete.
Responsible for ServiceNow, configuration database, asset management services, business services and configuration item relationships
Maintain architecture and deployment documentation.
Oversee logical parts of discovery patterns (function, parameters, etc, in addition to domain scope (IP ranges, Protocols, Credentials
Respond to user support requests, diagnose and provide solutions to technical issues.
Write custom scripts to automate processes as needed.
Collaborate with project team members to meet timelines and goals.
Perform knowledge transfer to coworkers within the division.
Deliver presentations and provide progress updates to managers and staff.
Provide, as needed, after hours support at the discretion of the Section manager.
Create ad-hoc reports as requested.
Provide weekly discovery deployment reports and remediation of the incident ticket status to Security Division management and Executive Management.
Provide afterhours support, as needed.

D. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The Consultant must meet all the following minimum qualifications:

1. Two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing hands on ServiceNow configuration management database.
2. Two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing security assets scanning and discovery using one of the solutions: Qualys, Rapid7 or Tenable.
3. Two (2) years of experience within the last four (4) years performing all the following: a. Integration of different devices/applications/databases/operating systems.
b. Planning, designing, implementing, optimizing, and operating security solutions.
c. System Architecture.
d. Systems integration utilizing available APIs.

4. Seven (7) years of experience in an Information Technology focused role with at least two (2) years in information security.
5. Must have one of the following: CISSP, ServiceNow Certification, ITIL Foundations, ICFS, Change Management, or ISAC Cyber Security certification. Proof of certification must be submitted with resume.
