Job Title: Servers/Storage Systems Engineer
Location: Fremont, CA/Austin, TX
Responsibilities
· Interface with external vendors, original device manufacturers, internal QA, hardware, firmware teams to triage, troubleshoot and root cause failures found during engineering, design, and production validation tests
· Create experiments to diagnose failures in hardware, firmware, and software
· Document and report failure analysis for tracking and closure
· Provide facts with supporting data for a go / no-go decision on component / firmware releases to production
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
· 5+ years product development experience in one /more of the following
· Enterprise Network Interface Card (NIC)
· Enterprise Solid State Drives (SSD)
· Enterprise Hard Disk Drives (HDD)
· Graphical Processing Unit (GPU)
· IBM Tape library
· PCIe/CXL
· Knowledge of the big picture with attention to detail on focus area
· Good communication skills to work with cross functional teams
· Hands-on Experience with Linux and scripting (python preferred)
· Knowledge of Server architecture and components
· Servers / Storage component characterization and measure change impact
· Troubleshooting and analytical experience
Preferred qualification
· 4+ years’ experience with Python automation in Servers/Storage domain
· 2+ years’ experience working in platforms deployed in hyperscale data centers
