Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer with strong experience in wireframing, prototyping, and Figma. This role is part of the Digital Experience and Innovation team and will involve developing and executing product vision for digital connected experiences across medical technology portfolios.
The designer will lead a highly visible workstream that significantly impacts the overall user experience. We need someone with strong design sensibility, a passion for visual exploration, and the ability to create seamless, intuitive interactions. Experience working at the interface of hardware and software is highly preferred.
Candidates must come from LARGE enterprise environments (not small companies or advertising agencies).
Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, or Medical Technology is preferred but not required.
NY or NJ candidates are preferred; exceptional remote candidates with strong medical tech experience will be considered.
Required Candidate Qualifications
10+ years as UX Designer, Interaction Designer, UX Architect, or similar role
Strong expertise in:
Figma
Sketch
Principle
A e Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
Other digital design & prototyping tools
Strong portfolio demonstrating full product lifecycle involvement
Experience working in very large enterprise organizations
Long project tenures and stable work history
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must provide a State-issued ID (Driver’s license or State ID)
Responsibilities
Lead UX design for a critical workstream with cross-functional stakeholders
Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and UI visual designs
Participate in user research and studies
Support design transfer to software engineering teams
Collaborate with the broader experience design team to support the Ottava ecosystem
Develop onboarding and learning strategies to improve end-to-end user experience
Communicate design ideas and rationale to internal teams
Create production-ready assets and assist software engineers with implementation challenges
