Job Description :
We are seeking a full-time contractor or employee for a Senior UX Designer role.
Responsibilities:
  • OverseeeingUX/UI designs to ensure design decisions are grounded in user experience and adhere to agency-wide design standards and industry-wide best practices.
  • Translating research into user stories, requirements, flows, wireframes, and prototypes and collaborating on the future product roadmap
  • Employing user testing and outreach to ensure products meets the needs of the end users, in collaboration with partners
  • Partnering with the product team and other key stakeholders, including senior leadership, on design solutions and rationales; collaborating with internal and external teams of product designers, developers, and product managers

Required Skills:
  • Experience in software product development, digital design, UX/UI or a related field
  • Designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
  • A portfolio of user research, visual design, and usability studies that demonstrates a high level of professionalism
  • Experience conducting user and usability research
  • Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
  • Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Direct experience leading large-scale UX/UI efforts
  • Documented experience developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma or comparable design software
  • Experience ensuring designs and website confirm to federal accessibility guidelines

Preferred Skills:
  • Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
  • Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
