** Local Candidates are ideal, but we will consider anyone willing to work Pacific Time zone. Role can be remote. 

** Hours are 9-5 PST. OT on rare occasion must be pre-approved by mgr.

Client is looking for a seasoned User Experience Researcher to join the User Experience and Research Team to help lead research that inspires and informs new experiences for our customers. We are looking for someone who has experience using their research skills to evaluate how well designs and products meet the needs of target customers and to identify innovative solutions. The role requires the ability to champion a human-centered design process throughout the product development cycle, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to help shape our next-generation experiences. 

The candidate must be a strategic, independent, self-motivated, creative and professional researcher capable of executing a broad array of design research methods with an emphasis on evaluative testing. The candidate should be able to effectively advocate for the needs of users and influence business decisions by synthesizing research results with market trends and competitive insights relevant to the business context. 

Roles & Responsibilities: 

At a Senior level, the role includes being able to lead the overall user experience design for medium to large projects and independently execute research tasks in the areas of ethnography, user needs analysis, interaction design recommendations, and usability testing. Within projects, the role includes accountability for the outcome of research; applying principles of good User Experience research to all work; helping translate User Experience research findings into design decisions; understanding business objectives and how to balance them with user needs; and, developing and analyzing business requirements to define and improve applications and business processes. The role requires advanced skill in interpreting design principles and standards to evaluate effective designs. It also requires the ability to independently conduct research using various research methods - usability testing (formative and summative), ethnographic/field studies, surveys, card sorting, personas, time-in-motion studies, heuristic evaluations and data analysis. Advanced skills in both qualitative and quantitative analysis are required. Supervision will be provided for large or complex projects. 

1) Collaborate and innovate alongside UX/UI designers, ideators and prototypers to create best in class interactive products.  

3) Execute at all levels of the design process, from early sketches and low-fidelity prototypes to design specifications, user acceptance testing, and implementation support.  

4) Partner with content, development and product teams to create new products and features support and enhance cross-platform experiences and strategies.
