Job Summary:

The primary role of the Senior System Administrator is to take the leadership in keeping the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of all the infrastructure services that supports all computer systems and application within a customer's environment. Responsible for architecting, engineering and implementing complex enterprise infrastructure projects related to infrastructure including Servers, Data Storage, Virtual environment, printing and computer desktops and laptops.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 10+ years of supporting Windows Server environments/Active Directory
  • Looking for the Senior System Administrator, skilled in VMware Products including VxRail and other VMWare and Dell/EMC Network Storage Systems
  • In-Depth knowledge and Support of Virtual Desktop environments, Streaming Applications, Windows Servers and Desktop OSes. Dell hardware support for servers and Dell Storage products. Must have a excellent customer support skills and proactive and creative mindset.
  • Work is presently on-site, no remote work policy.
  • In-depth knowledge of GPO, AD, Windows Platforms, Networking, DNS, DHCP, SCCM, MECM and Citrix including the architecture, design, administration, and management of a distributed systems environment, patching, and maintenance.
  • Proven abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously, excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Need excellent collaboration, communication, and understanding and handling of escalations from L1 and L2 staff and supporting the overall team and their technical assistance.
  • Innovative White Boarding with customer and Analyzing, designing and implementing new technologies for applications within the onsite environment and Azure cloud infrastructures.
  • PowerShell scripting skills and the automation of tasks
  • Communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
  • Solid understanding of compliance and security around desktop, servers, and Azure to implement best practices
  • Developing and promoting standard operations documentation such as procedures, checklists, Knowledge Base Articles and user instructions
  • Identify security risks to our environment, and suggest mitigation solutions
  • Partner with InfoSec, Security, and network teams to manage, strengthen, and secure the infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call and incident resolution on a twenty-four (24) hour basis
  • Keeping systems operating efficiently by performing any necessary upgrades, general maintenance and repairs. Additionally figuring out better methods of support and automation processes
  • Performing problem-solving tasks when alerted by a user or monitoring system Meeting Quality objectives and standards
  • A willingness to develop new skills and to champion new technologies
  • ITIL v4 Framework certifications or proven experience utilizing ITIL processes
  • Ivanti ITSM or Service Now experience is a plus
