As a (Sr) Software Engineer, you will be part of an engineering feature team. You will partner with business operations and product owner to deliver solutions for digital transformation initiatives within UHG. Your work will entail development of modern digital experiences and automated transactions to replace manual paper-based transactions.


 


 Primary Responsibilities:



  • Work as a full stack engineer to design, code, build, and test software solutions in DevOps scrum environment

  • Lead team efforts to achieve timely resolution to all production issues

  • Apply design patterns and best practices to software development

Required Qualifications:



  • Working knowledge of UI frameworks (React, Angular, AEM Forms, Javascript, HTML)

  • Working knowledge Java Spring Boot framework, Microservices, Design patterns and Anti-patterns

  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Working knowledge of Azure Cloud platform and Kubernetes

  • Working knowledge of Kafka Queues

  • Working knowledge of open source development and trunk based development in git

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD and Jenkins, ATDD

  • Working knowledge of Scrum: Understands the roles of PO and Engineering Feature team. Akin to releasing to Prod every two weeks

  • Working knowledge of Automation tools (Selenium, Cucumber, JUNIT)

  • Working knowledge of systems architecture and best practices

  • Working knowledge of secure engineering practices

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
