Senior Software Engineer Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with Retail Technology team in transforming the data between Cloud based and on-Prem Retail systems. We are a fast-moving group tasked with delivering cross-platform integrated experiences and retail experiences that will define the interactions of families online and change the way our customers experience our digital and physical assets. Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities:
· Partner with our engineering team focusing on retail systems, specifically concentrating on Order Management (OMS) connecting systems and frameworks.
· Collaborate with developers and development teams to deliver experiences that delight our guests.
· Resolve defects, support testing effort, and deploy production code on a frequent basis.
· Help recruit, interview, and onboard new talent as the team grows
· Be a technical pillar for the engineering team through collaboration and mentorship of other engineers.
· Analyze the technical feasibility of product features and help to guide feature development and roadmap from a technical perspective.
· Work with the team leads to understand product requirements, design and implement solutions, and work with QA to validate those solutions.
· Participate in the Agile team ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, decomposition and daily standups.
· Help support our software engineering teams focusing on retail systems and connecting systems and frameworks
· Help with the Design, and implementation of key infrastructure that enhances our retail systems experiences, including interfaces and gateways between components.
· Build and maintain documentation for data conversion processes while seeking out process improvements
· Help to estimate sprint tasks for engineering, working with the cross-functional team including product, program management, and QA.
Senior Software Engineer Requirements:
· Covid Vaccination is required for this position.
· 5-7+ years of full software development lifecycle experience.
· Proficiency with one or more programming languages like Java, Python.
· Experience with Google Data Flow or equivalent technologies
· Deep understanding of Pub-Sub frameworks, relational databases, ETL tools, data conversion and data cleansing methodologies.
· Exposure to Java frameworks, such as Spring, Spring Boot and Spring Batch
· Excellent and deep understanding of design patterns and modern, highly scalable application development.
· Organized, detail-oriented and able to deliver projects on time.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starting individual.
· Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills to identify the root cause and implement the fix
· Knowledge and experience of Retail systems specifically concentrating on ecommerce data transformations.
· Experience building use case driven software with Agile Software Development and Test-Driven Development methodologies
Education:
Bachelor's or Equivalent
