Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Building and setting up new servers used in the organization
Planning and following Server Reboot schedule
Maintaining computer, user, and group accounts within Active Directory
Planning, designing, and implementing group policies
Creating, deleting, and assigning permissions for Exchange mailboxes
Assisting with backups - planning, scheduling, restoration
Installing and configuring system updates - desktop and server
Build and maintain servers and containers in a virtualized environment.
Schedule and manage system backups.
Install, maintain, patch, and upgrade infrastructure systems as needed.
Review and install security and product updates.
Provide high-level support and technical expertise.
Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix and VMware technologies
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
Define and document best practices and support procedures
Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
Carry out special tasks at Management's direction
Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualification/Experience :
Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in a Senior System technical role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and other related courses.
o Microsoft Certification (MCSE) or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.
o Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server
o A Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking
o Group Policy design and configuration
Good communication skills.
