Job Title: Senior Security Analyst
Location: Pine Brook, New Jersey, United States Onsite
Duration- Long Term Contract/Full Time
Responsibilities:
Job Functions:
Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures
Perform event correlation using information gathered from a variety of sources within the enterprise to gain situational awareness and determine the effectiveness of an observed attack
Provide timely detection, identification, and alerting of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities, coordinating with system and network administrators
Analyze identified malicious activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system and information
Implement and maintain company's information security strategy
Apply security policies to meet security objectives of the system
Perform security reviews, identify gaps in security architecture, and maintain a security risk management plan.
Assess and monitor cybersecurity related to system implementation and testing practices
Provide security advice and input to IT management for Disaster Recovery, Conting ency, and Continuity of Operations Plans
Contribute to computer security strategy and engineering of comprehensive cybersecurity architecture
Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management
Project Management:
Follows instructions and completes assigned tasks while clearly communicating results
Works with peers to complete project tasks
Provides input for defining and prioritizing tasks
Teaming:
Assures client= satisfaction, communicates issues, plans, requests, and resolutions clearl= y in speech and writing
Works collaboratively with IT team members to accomplish security goals
Required Skills
Required Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
Knowledge in fundamental and advanced cybersecurity solutions including:
Coordinating countermeasures to identified security risks
Evaluating the adequacy of security designs
Use of penetration testing tools and techniques
Anti-virus applications, content filtering, firewalls, authentication systems, and intrusion detection and notification systems
Proven experience operating and maintaining security systems
Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
Knowledge of and experience with Security Information and Event Management platforms
In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles
Critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems
Excellent diagnostic, problem resolution and proactive monitoring skills
Desired Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:
CISM, CISSP, or Security+
Extensive knowledge of operating system and database security
Knowledge of NIST 800-171/CMMC 2.0 frameworks and regulations
Knowledge of risk management processes
Knowledge of data classification and control marking standards, policies and procedures
Knowledge of and experience with Data Loss Prevention technologies
Experience with Microsoft Cloud security and the Microsoft Government GC C - High platform
Teaming:
Demonstrates superior oral and written communication skills
Required Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity or related fields or 5 or more years work experience as a System Security Engineer or related position
Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship is not available.
