Senior Principal Systems Engineer 100% Remote

Job Summary:
The Senior Principal Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and integration of complex systems and infrastructure. This role provides technical leadership across engineering teams, ensures system reliability and scalability, and drives architecture decisions that support business and technology objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex systems and infrastructure solutions.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and operations teams.

• Analyze system requirements and translate them into scalable and secure system designs.

• Oversee system integration, performance optimization, and reliability improvements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, network, security, and infrastructure teams.

• Troubleshoot complex system issues and provide root cause analysis and resolution.

• Ensure system availability, performance, and security standards are maintained.

• Lead system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.

• Develop and maintain system documentation, standards, and best practices.

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy and roadmap planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or enterprise systems design.

• Strong experience with system architecture, operating systems, networking, and cloud platforms.

• Experience with system automation, monitoring, and performance tuning.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization, and automation tools.

• Experience with high-availability and distributed systems architecture.

• Relevant certifications in cloud, systems engineering, or infrastructure technologies.
