Senior Performance Test Engineer
Six month Contract-to-Hire
Location: Ideally in Minneapolis or Davenport, IA but Remote is an option
KEY: Telerik, Performance, Test, Load
KEY Skills that are a plus: JMeter, ReadyAPI
KEY: Lead experience or the desire to grow into a Lead
KEY: Ability to make presentations to Director and Senior Directors of test results.
KEY: Solid communication skills and to be able to confidently present their findings. If a candidates has solid communication skills and has never really presented in a formal manner they can be groomed and trained. Know how to take the technical jargon and talk non-tech to the appropriate audience.
Team Size: this hire will be the 5th team member.3 x Contractors and 1 FTE now.
The team is very laid back, very relaxed all the while being very hard working and very collaborative meaning they lean on each other for skills and knowledge sharing.
Overview
-Help identify performance and load testing needs.
-Take test results and present to senior IT and business leaders the findings
-Evaluate the results and present
-Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and executing performance testing of web, mobile and windows applications for both on-premise and cloud-based applications.
-Responsible for mentoring, training and assisting other Quality Assurance Engineers with understanding and supporting performance testing processes.
-Plan, design, develop, maintain and execute various types of performance testing such as load, stress and transactional performance testing using testing tools and comprehensive test scenarios. This includes performance testing for on-premise and cloud-based software solutions that consist of web, client and mobile technologies. The end goal of these activities it to ensure that the software solutions meet the desired performance standards under specified user loads.
