DIRECT CLIENT

Job requirements.

Installation, administration, security, and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting the PeopleSoft applications, including web servers, database servers  (In partnership with DBA’s), application servers, process schedulers, report servers. and file servers in windows.

  • Researches issues with application middleware, database etc. and recommends/applies solutions such as configuration changes to O/S, WebLogic, Peoplesoft, tuxedo or additional hardware, memory, CPUs etc
  • Add and update document standards for PeopleSoft architecture and configuration as well as day-to-day operational procedures and protocols
  • Maintains PeopleSoft system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning
  • Periodic testing of fail over of server, database, etc. at DR site
  • Identifies downloads, tracks, and applies people tools, security and PeopleSoft application upgrades and patches as needed
  • Secures PeopleSoft system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation, establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures, completing back-ups, maintaining documentation.
  • Assists developers and management by proactively researching available and future patches and fixes for people tools and recommends improvements/use of appropriate solutions/tools/security to management
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publication, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Serve in a 24/7 on-call capacity, working evenings and/or weekends as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
