Senior Lead AI Engineer

100% Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Lead AI Engineer to design, develop, and lead the deployment of advanced AI and machine learning solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, driving AI strategy, mentoring teams, and delivering scalable, production-grade AI systems aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of AI/ML models and solutions
  • Architect and implement end-to-end AI systems (data ingestion, model training, deployment, monitoring)
  • Drive adoption of generative AI and LLM-based applications
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into AI solutions
  • Oversee model performance, evaluation, and continuous improvement
  • Establish AI engineering best practices, standards, and governance
  • Mentor and guide AI/ML engineers and data scientists
  • Ensure scalability, security, and ethical use of AI systems
  • Work with DevOps teams to implement MLOps pipelines
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or data science
  • Strong programming skills in Python (preferred) or similar languages
  • Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)
  • Experience with deep learning, NLP, or computer vision
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
  • Experience deploying models on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative AI / LLMs (e.g., GPT-based systems, fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Azure ML)
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • AI-related certifications or advanced degrees (PhD is a plus)
