Job Role: Sr. IAM SSO Engineer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia (Remote to Start with)

Who are we looking for? 

The Cyber security delivery team that owns the managed security services for this client, has an opening for a Senior IAM SSO Engineer specialized in Ping Access, Ping Federation tool. 


Technical Skills: 

  • Good understanding of Ping Federation architecture and deployment design 
  • Integrate new and existing applications for user authentication with IAM and SSO technology 
  • Plan, implement, support, and maintain the enterprise single sign on platforms 
  • Monitor and tune production processes 
  • Simultaneously support small and large scope projects 
  • Demonstrate full technical knowledge of all phases of the systems analysis activity 
  • Administer Enterprise IAM, SSO platforms 
  • Hands on implementing and supporting SiteMinder WAM/SSO  
  • Strong hands-on experience with SSO & MFA, AD Connect, SAML, OAuth. 
  • Strong hands-on experience with industry standard SSO technologies and protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, FIDO, SCIM, LDAP, SAML) 
  • Expertise in Identity and Authentication solutions such as Active Directory, SailPoint, Saviynt, or SiteMinder 
  • Knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory services, MFA, Risk based authentication and privileged access management 
  • Holistic view of IAM (Authentication and Authorization Data, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Policy Engine) 
  • Ability to utilize various programming or scripting languages such as Shell scripting, Perl, Python, JavaScript, HTML and PowerShell 
  • Understanding of API design concepts, RESTful Services, and modern application interaction patterns 
  • Familiarity with deployments and integration of IAM solutions within the cloud (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) 
  • Experience in deploying large-scale, global projects and programs 
  • Familiarity with IT security and risk management practices 
  • Ping Federate certification preferred 
    Process Skills: 
  • Work with multiple application teams to define the requirements of new systems development 
  • Provide platform support during off hours and escalations 
  • Actively participate in the technical design and planning meetings 
  • Effectively work with other IT support teams and engage with third party vendors 
  • Develop and maintain standards, procedures and methodologies for effective operation, access and control of IAM platforms and services 
  • Coordinate IAM security requirements and activities with team members 
  • Conduct and review tests of IAM systems to verify performance and quality standards. 
  • Ensure the integrity of IAM implementations and maintain related documentation. 
  • Assist in troubleshooting application authentication/authorization problems 
  • Works with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure proper architecture and implementations of a stable, standardized, and efficient solution. 
  • All other duties as assigned 
  • Troubleshooting of operational issues in SSO components 
  • Application integration on Ping SSO 
  • Patch management for SSO solution 
  • Participate in Disaster recovery Drills 
  • Integration of new applications, based on requests / definitions from THD: On best effort basis without impacting the BAU services and SLA’s 
  • Advisory on SSO related enquiries from Client 
  • Proactive recommendations (like upgrades, security s, additional components, additional licenses, etc.) to maintain and run a healthy SSO solution 
  • Performing failback and recovery after a disaster recovery scenario 
  • Capacity and performance monitoring 
  • Following best practices and guidelines from Ping 
  • Coordination with infra teams to resolve issues in the implemented SSO solution 
  • Coordinate with other teams like Network, Wintel, SIEM, etc. for troubleshooting any issues in existing integrations and features provided by the respective tools / services 
  • Update and maintain the existing documentation and in particular the Operation Guide and run books

  • Must have 4 Year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent) 
  • 6+ years overall IT experience 
  • ITIL, Ping Federate preferred
