Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Description:
As a Sr. Hardware Development Engineer based in Morgan Hill, CA, you will have responsibility for Product Development for new General Purpose and Handheld Test Equipment.
Key Responsibilities include:
RF / Microwave / mmWave circuit / component design and development
Integration into VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, or Synthesizer systems
Create Block Diagrams and Schematics of designs from project requirements
Perform system calculations where necessary such as NF, TOI, phase noise, and power consumption
Responsible for managing necessary PCB/substrate layouts and mechanical portions of the design
Prototype bring-up and debugging, and functional verification
Develop specifications from test data and transition to manufacturing
This position will be reporting to the Hardware Manager based in Morgan Hill, CA
Requirements:
BSEE required, MSEE and Ph.D. preferred
8-10+ years of experience in the design of Analog, RF/Microwave/mmWave circuits, systems, and components
Experience with chip and wire techniques and thin-film design
Experience in the design of Test and Measurement equipment is a plus
Design experience in filters, transitions, couplers, diplexers, and bias networks
Proficient with hands-on troubleshooting of RF/Microwave/mmWave circuits
Skilled in the operations of test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs, and Power meters
Expert working experience with computerized schematic entry. PCB design tools and Draftsight
Proficient with simulators such as SPICE and Microwave Office (or similar)
Working knowledge with field simulators such as CST or HFSS
