Job Description:         

A talented Senior Full Stack Web Developer to lead the development of e-Commerce websites using WordPress. This role will be an integral part of our development team for redesigning, developing, and maintaining our flagship website. The right candidate will work on all areas of system development life cycle, from obtuse requirements to final release. This is a hands-on development position which will require custom coding using PHP for WordPress plugins, and API integration to the backend systems. We are looking for a team player that accepts challenges, and loves partnering with UX/UI designers to execute delightful experiences for our customers.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide architectural oversight, code refactoring, improvements, and code reviews
  • Assist teams in website migration tasks, triaging bugs and resolving production issues
  • Manage DevOps processes and facilitate testing, deployments, security, and monitoring
  • Review and manage pull requests and code merges
  • Updating WordPress, Plugins, and related code libraries
  • Create new CMS sections and page templates
  • Coding pixel perfect user interfaces and interactions, for websites and applications from prototypes or high-fidelity mockups
  • Participate in WordPress administration, maintenance, and support
  • Mentor and support front-end WordPress developers and designers
  • Accountable for successful product deliverables
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product, and backend teams

 

What You’ll Have:

  • 5+ years of web development with highly scalable and large volume e-commerce sites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical work experience
  • Proficient with both front and back-end development for WordPress
  • Experience developing websites using WordPress VIP hosting environment and using Gutenberg, PHP Code Sniffer, XML-RPC + Jetpack, Query monitor, pipelines, and DBs
  • Experience networking sites with WordPress Multisite and using WooCommerce plugin
  • Experience with server-side programming languages specifically PHP, and interfacing with multiple backend APIs and Microservices
  • Well versed with data caching and MySQL as it relates to WordPress
  • Good understanding of SASS, JS, jQuery, HTML5, Bootstrap and CSS3
  • Experience using Jira, Bitbucket, Git and Pipelines
  • Experience managing and reviewing pull requests and code repositories
  • Expert knowledge of WordPress’s theme structure and functions
  • Good planning/organizational skills and techniques
  • Good decision making, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Resolve complex issues in effective ways
