Role :

We are seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer with 10-15 years of industry experience to lead and evolve our infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, deployment and operations practices. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our production systems and work closely with software engineering, QA, security and product teams to ensure reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Architect, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines covering build, test, deploy, rollback and monitoring phases.Lead infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).Design, deploy and operate container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) and manage container lifecycles.Ensure high availability, scalability and resilience of services—perform capacity planning, disaster recovery, fault-tolerance design.Automate operations tasks: deployment, scaling, patching, monitoring, alerting, back-ups, and recovery.Monitor system health, implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing) with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, New Relic etc.Partner with software engineering teams to advise on deployment architecture, environmental parity, release readiness, roll-backs and incident response.Mentor and guide junior and mid-level members of the DevOps/Platform team; set standards and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, tools and integrate into the ecosystem where appropriate.Define and enforce security, compliance and operational governance related to DevOps practices (e.g., secrets management, access control, audit trail).

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience; Master’s preferred.10-15 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, site-reliability engineering or similar roles.Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps, etc.).Proven track record with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).Strong expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, etc.).Proven experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) including IaaS, PaaS, network, security and VM/container lifecycles.Excellent scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go, PowerShell).Experience implementing observability and monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, New Relic).Solid understanding of networking, virtualization, storage, Linux internals, and security practices.Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills; ability to work across teams and mentor others.Willingness to work onsite in San Jose, CA on a W2 employment basis.

Preferred Qualifications :

Experience working at scale (hundreds/thousands of services/clusters) in production.Experience in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare, SaaS) and working with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001).Familiarity with GitOps workflows, service-mesh (Istio/Linkerd), serverless technologies, and SRE principles.Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), etc.Experience leading platform engineering, setting DevOps strategy and influencing architecture
