Role Overview:
The Senior DevOps Engineer will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and automation frameworks across AWS and Azure environments. This position focuses on scalability, automation, security, and continuous integration & deployment (CI/CD) while ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
The role involves collaborating with software development, security, and IT operations teams to enhance cloud performance, security compliance, and system automation. Given the nature of the industry, familiarity with healthcare IT environments, data privacy regulations, and security best practices is highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize cloud environments in AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless code deployment and infrastructure updates.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
Enhance security, monitoring, and compliance frameworks to align with best practices and regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
Implement containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) to improve system performance.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and cloud-related challenges, providing strategic recommendations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including compute, networking, and security services.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, AWS Code Pipeline, or Jenkins.
Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and automation frameworks.
Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes, AKS/EKS), security, and monitoring tools.
Knowledge of cloud governance, compliance, and best practices for security and cost management.
Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on collaboration and efficiency.
Additional Considerations:
Healthcare IT experience is an advantage, especially knowledge of compliance frameworks and security mandates.
