The Senior Data Delivery Engineer is in charge of analyzing and implementing data solution needs for the organization. The incumbent is responsible for determining self-service access platforms and functionality for the central data warehouse. He or she will build and load enterprise information by using data warehouses and marts; interact with a variety of business professionals to provide data that supports dashboarding and reporting; build data processes that support the revenue management cycle and communicate critical project requirements within their organization. The Senior Data Delivery Engineer will help manage custom application development and create delivery model strategies, as well as provide scalable services related to high performance visualization tools and infrastructure design.
Responsibilities
Implement data access methods and integration with data access and visualization tools which enable self-service data access within a data governance model.
Define and build data extraction, integration and reporting solutions that support the needs of the finance team in performing the revenue cycle process.
Track and Respond to adhoc data requests and analyze the tracking information to define, prioritize and implement new data models, access methods and reporting needs.
Engineer data and software applications, and Implement process automation that enables enterprise customers to perform the data-oriented aspects of their jobs without constant dependence on the engineers within the data warehouse organization while using common best practices of development, testing and deployment.
Collaborate with end users to gather requirements and design and build technical solutions from concept to implementation
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
5 years of experience in related, progressive roles
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in the design and build of enterprise data and BI solutions.
Proven ability to write SQL and understanding of different databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop
Proven excellent understanding of data modeling using but not limited to SQL, ETL, and BI Tools
Proven expertise on dashboards and scorecards development. Demonstrated experience in DW (dimension/star schema) modeling and design.
