Security Support Specialist
4-5 months plus
100% Remote Work
Team Info: 11 team members but 2 will be routinely out on FMLA leave.
Selling Points: This role will support the activities of a security team whose mission is to implement an effective security program for US government customers.
Work Schedule: Generally 8-4 or 9-5 but flexible. There is no geographic requirement other than on US soil, time zone not an issue.
Interviews: 1 video panel interview.

Bachelor’s degree preferred
Ability to navigate web based tools and interpret data going into and out of that system.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite to include SharePoint.

Job Description
The security support specialist will be focused on providing procedural and administrative support to the US Federal Security team in their support of the federal business unit. This will include processing requests for security vetting, answering correspondence from internal business customers, annotating information in web based systems, analyzing information to be provided to internal customers, and other administrative and analytical activities as needed.

Day to Day Activities
Processing of security vetting requests - which includes providing resources and guidance to individuals on how to complete their tasks, checking to ensure all tasks satisfactorily completed and updating the system of record. Regular correspondence on inquiries from internal business customers on the status of their requests. Most security support activities are fully contained in an automated tracking system so the security support specialist will be trained on how to use this tool to carry out most of their transactions.

Self-starter, fast learner, excellent communication and corporate culture skills. Candidates need to be able to work autonomously with little direct supervision.
