Job: SDET Consultant
Location: Durham NC- Hybrid
Duration: 12 Months
Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong focus on Java, API testing, database testing (particularly SQL), and ETL testing. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on expert in these areas and will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
Strong Proficiency in Java: The candidate should have a deep understanding of Java and be able to use it effectively for test automation and scripting.
API Testing: Demonstrated expertise in API testing, including knowledge of RESTful and SOAP-based web services. The candidate should be comfortable creating, executing, and automating API tests.
Database Testing (SQL): Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries for database testing. The candidate should have a strong grasp of database concepts and be able to dig into the data to verify system functionality.
Hands-On Experience: The candidate must have hands-on experience in all the mentioned areas, with a track record of actively engaging in testing and debugging activities.
ETL Testing: Knowledge and experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) testing to ensure the accuracy and completeness of data integration processes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience as an SDET or similar role, with a focus on Java, API testing, database testing, and ETL testing.
Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks, as well as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
