Position: Scrum Master Location: SF/Fully Remote Duration: 6+ months In this role, you'll get to: Evangelize Scrum theory, practices, and values to help the team (and those outside of the team) maximize the value they create Coach the Scrum team in self-organization and cross-functionality Identify opportunities to optimize Scrum roles, events, and artifacts Equip the team with tools and practices to establish incremental, iterative, and predictable delivery (e.g. story pointing, establishing stable velocity, Release Planning) Ensure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum team as well as possible Facilitate Scrum events as requested or needed Remove impediments to the team's progress Coach Product Owners on techniques for effective Product Backlog management Define metrics to visualize progress to the team and stakeholders Collaborate with stakeholders to manage competing priorities while protecting the team Coordinate risk and dependency management to optimize delivering solutions at scale Cultivate a culture of servant leadership, empowered teams, and continuous improvement Partner with fellow agile practitioners to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization Enable change management that increases the productivity of the team and organization You are able to catalyze change through: Deep knowledge in organizational theory and agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, TDD, ATDD, BDD, and the ability to help teams apply it in a practical way A passion for operational excellence, rare attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to deliver value in a high-growth environment Strengths in problem solving and issue-resolution Strong leadership and communication skills to work with teams, stakeholders, and leadership across geographies Ability to cultivate alignment within the team and with external teams across the organization Energetic and encouraging "coaching" style Ability to empathize with a wide range of people, test new ideas with them, and model a culture of embracing failure A Scrum Master Certification (CSM) and/or 5 years of hands-on experience as a dedicated Scrum Master Referral Program: Ask our recruiting team about how you can be a part of our referral program.
