Job Description
PROJECT: The position is for a Medi-Cal Data Warehouse project for State of California in Sacramento. The Data Feeds Specialist will be responsible to develop and maintain the data feed process from various data sources and transmit data in preparation for loading into the MIS/DSS data warehouse
Team: Data Feeds Team will have 6 Data Feeds Specialists and 1 Data Feeds Specialist Lead. They all report to the client directly.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the data feed process from various data sources and transmit data in preparation for loading into the MIS/DSS data warehouse
Analyze DHCS warehouse requirements and research existing claim and eligible processes to develop the data feed process
Utilize statistical tools such as SAS EG to create reports and trends from the MIS/DSS and support user requests
Experience using Informatica to help support TMSIS and PERM reporting
TOP REQUIREMENTS: Five (5) years' experience with front-end data warehouse or similar processing which includes extracting data for large files from various sources, cleansing data, and preparing the data for loading into a data warehouse.
 
Required:
5 years' experience with front-end data warehouse or similar processing which includes extracting data for large files from various sources, cleansing data, and preparing the data for loading into a data warehouse.
5 years' experience as an analyst-programmer performing various system development life cycle functions including; project planning, requirements analysis, program specifications, coding, testing, and implementation.
Experience with paid and denied claims (diagnosis codes, procedure codes, etc.) and data standards (Protected Health Information, privacy standards, HIPAA data elements, and code sets.) Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite of tools and VISIO in facilitating written communication such as developing status reports, creating/updating technical and procedure documentation, and communication with team members, end users and stakeholders. Experience in oral communication in a variety of situations such as interacting with the user community (e.g. State staff, vendors, and Data Center staff), making presentations, facilitating meetings and walkthroughs, and user training. Experience transitioning program changes into production.
Experience with Medicaid, SSA, or other welfare programs specific to state and federal policies and procedures
