Position: SAP /HANA Cockpit

Job Description / Responsibilities:
The S/4 HANA Data Migration Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing data migration processes during SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations. Ensure accurate, timely, and secure transfer of data from legacy systems into the S/4HANA environment, working closely with functional, technical, and business teams to understand data requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Assessment and Planning:
- Evaluate legacy data systems and sources, determine data migration scope, and design migration strategies.
- Conduct data profiling and quality assessments to identify gaps, redundancies, and cleansing requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to establish data retention and archival policies for the migration process.
Data Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL):
- Develop and manage ETL scripts and workflows to extract data from legacy systems, transform it, and load it into S/4HANA.
- Use SAP migration tools (such as SAP Data Services, SAP Migration Cockpit) for ETL processes, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Ensure that data meets S/4HANA requirements, including data mapping, field conversions, and format transformations.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and SAP functional consultants, to understand data migration needs and requirements.
- Provide data migration expertise and training to project team members, as well as troubleshooting support.
Testing and Validation:
- Design and execute data validation scripts, reconciliations, and testing procedures to verify data accuracy post-migration.
- Assist in end-user validation and testing activities, coordinating with QA teams to ensure data migration testing aligns with project timelines and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document data migration procedures, transformations, data mappings, and any custom workflows or tools used.
- Provide regular status reports and updates to the project manager or migration lead on progress, challenges, and mitigation plans.
Experience:
- SAP data migration roles with at least 8 years of experience specifically in S/4 HANA migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Data Services, SAP LT (Landscape Transformation) Replication Server, and SAP Migration Cockpit.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data migration tools, and data cleansing techniques.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and legacy SAP module data structures (such as FI, CO, MM, SD).
