Role: SAP GTS Solution Architect

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Duration: Contract / Fulltime

Job Description:

  • Seeking a Principal SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) Consultant.
  • As a subject matter expert, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact solutions in the area of international trade compliance and customs management using SAP GTS.
  • You will be actively involved in solution design, configuration, integration, and deployment, ensuring alignment with global trade regulations and client business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the lead SME for SAP GTS solutions, guiding the full project lifecycle including requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, and deployment.
  • Design and implement SAP GTS Compliance Management modules, including:
  • Sanctioned Party List (SPL) Screening
  • Embargo Checks
  • Legal Control
  • Deliver SAP GTS Customs Management functionality:
  • Export/Import Declarations
  • Special Customs Procedures (AES, ATLAS)
  • FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone), IPR (Inward Processing Relief), OPR (Outward Processing Relief), Customs Warehouse
  • Implement SAP GTS Preference Management, including:
  • Preference Determination
  • Free Trade Agreements (FTA)
  • Long-Term Vendor Declarations (LTVDs, CLTVDs)
  • Regional Value Content (RVC) Calculation
  • Manage HS/Product Classification activities and integration with ERP systems (S/4 HANA or ECC).
  • Utilize and integrate middleware tools such as Seeburger, CPI, and EDI for trade document processing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead client workshops, training, and solution presentations.
  • Contribute to proposal development, internal capability building, and pre-sales activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • At least 11 years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on SAP GTS.
