Job Title: SAP ABAP Developer Location: Baton Rouge, LA Visa: USC/GC Job Description: Duties The primary focus will be working with business analysts to resolving user support tickets. Additional duties may include; Work with business analysts and system users to define and manage requirements Develop new or revise existing applications from written program specifications that have been provided by, or developed with, the Business Analyst or users Review program requests and specifications for logic and data consistency; recommend alternatives when appropriate Estimate time to complete program changes from high level specifications Develop new, maintain, or enhance custom programs, including maintenance of documentation, and change management systems Design, develop, and implement system enhancements following FLIR standards. Design test plans, execute test scenarios, validate test data, and document test results. Collaborate with other company developers to develop company development standards, best practices, and code reviews Skills Strong knowledge and background as an ABAP Developer in ECC 6.0 related to the following modules; FI/CO, SD, MM/PP, QM, WM, CS/SM, HR,PM, PS all aspects of ABAP development regarding RICEF(Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms Individual must strong experience in support functions related to the development environment including; debugging, transports, DDIC, batch jobs, emailing, printing, SQL trace, runtime analysis, Batch Input, Monitoring, etc Must have understanding of the underlying system and technology related to ABAP development including Work Processes, Logical Units of Work(LUW), Locking/Enqueue/Dequeue, Synchronous vs Asynchronous Updates, Transactional vs Queue RFCs, Database Interaction(selects/inserts/updates/deletes) with commit/rollback, Buffering, Memory Usage,etc. Must have solid experience writing reports in ABAP using ALV function modules, ALV grid objects. Nice to have worked with SALV table object. Must have experience developing and maintaining screens in module pools and function groups with a clear under standing of screen events. Must have experience developing interfaces developing using files from presentation and application servers. Must have experience developing function groups/modules, including RFCs, update tasks and table maintenance. Experiencing publishing web services from function modules and classes is a plus. Must have experience coding updates in the system using BDCs, Call transactions, Submit, Functions Calls(including BAPI functions, RFCs, update tasks,etc ), direct updates to tables in customer space. Must have experience with object oriented programming with developing both global and local classes and their calls via class methods and substantiated object methods. Must have experience and strong understanding in maintaining sapscript and smartforms including maintenance of standard text, text modules, styles, etc In addition, must have strong understanding of languages and text objects as they apply to Text Objects associated to master data and transactional data. Must have strong experience enhancing the system using Project based user exits(SMOD/CMOD) including screen exits, Implicit and explicit enhancements, BADI old style, SD customer includes, pricing routines, substitution and validation rules etc Having experience with Business transaction events is a plus.
