Job Description:
3 – 5 years as an Information technology business or systems analyst • 2 – 4 years as a data analyst or equivalent • 2 – 4 years of Salesforce CRM system implementation • Strong written and verbal communication skills This person must have broad and deep hands-on experience implementing Salesforce CRM. It is expected that this person has worked on at least two large-scale implementation projects, with project teams of 10 or more technical participants, consisting of six to eighteen months duration. Higher education experience would be beneficial, and higher education advancement experience and knowledge would be of even greater benefit. Responsibilities: The person in this role will be responsible for deriving technical specification documents from the functional requirements gathered during the functional sprints. They will take the functional requirements and work with the technical subject matter experts for each system interaction to derive the technical requirements, which may include database, field names, attributes, business rules for transformation, validation, and/or calculation, and document these requirements in a consistent and persistent way. Specific Responsibilities This role will be responsible for leading, performing, and taking ownership of the following types of activities: • Work with business and technical subject matter experts to develop functional and technical specifications with the degree of rigor and precision to enable the development of systems integrations • Document all business rules associated with the validation, migration, and transformation of data between systems • Work side-by-side with analysts to train and transfer knowledge in real time, not at end of engagement • Understand and articulate the dependencies between systems and applications. • Manage data migrations or consolidations from current to future state applications, or from multiple instances to single instances. • Gather requirements from SMEs and be able to document them in a consistent and persistent manner.
