Job Description :

RPG Lead :

More than 8+ relevant years of experience

Experience in IBMi modernization
Strong ability to study, understand and document the landscape – development and migration
Demonstrated resourcefulness in the software development process, logic understanding and problem solving skills
Demonstrated proficiency in System i (AS/400, iSeries) technical standards
Experience with RPG (RPG/400, RPGIV, ILE, Free, Specs, Files, Array, Loops), CL, Advantage:2E, SQL or other query utilities
Understanding of file operations (Reading, locking etc)
Strong RPG and ILE concepts
Understanding of Procedures. MODULES, Programs, BNDDIR, SRVPGM, BINDER LANGUAGE, SIGNATURE
Good Understanding of SQL (GROUP BY, Joins, UNION, UNION ALL, Stored procedures, Views)
Understanding of binding concepts and differences
Clear understanding of ACTIVATION GROUP and concepts
Understanding of COMMON TABLE EXPRESSION (CBT)
Experience with OS/400, DB2/400, DDL/SQL Tables,
Experience with Advanced RPG programming techniques
Experience with source/object control tools such as Implementer.
Java experience/exposure a plus

Proven knowledge in all stages of the software development life cycle.
Strong planning and organizational skills with critical attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders including senior leadership.?
