Role: Data Engineer
Location: (Carlsbad, CA) Remote – PST Time zone
12 Months Contract
Experience: Min 9+
Must have skills- Elastic Search, GCP, Java or Python
Good to have- Kubernetes, NoSQL Databases, Spark
Requirement:
· 6+ years JAVA/J2EE Application development experience
· Experience with search (elastic/Attivio), retrieval, or web personalization technologies
· Hands on Experience designing and developing technical solutions
· Experience in handling large amount of structured/unstructured data using data pipelines
· Basic technical understanding of the web, web APIs, HTTP protocol
· Experience working within of containerization environments and infrastructure (e.g Docker, Kubernetes)
· Experience working with GCP (Google Dataflow, Apache Beam ,Big Table, Big Query )
· Experience with at least one SQL/NOSQL databases.
· Knowledge of Elastic Search/Kibana/Logstash
· Experience with Scala, spark, ruby, Perl is a plus
· Knowledge with DevOps pipeline tools for code integration, automated testing, and deployment like Git, Jenkins,
Responsibilities
· Work with engineers and track enhancements and fixes through the development process to drive them to closure and test them to confirm. Drive closure and communicate resolution to internal stakeholders
· Identify and prioritize optimizations for the development team and clearly define, document and explain them.
· Work closely with the development team to define and measure improvements based on feedback and to apply automated testing that ensures continuous and reliable service quality
· Ability to understand and build complex systems to solve challenging analytical problems
· Knowledge in developing applications using Agile and SCRUM methodologies
· Involved in Fixing Defects of all levels that occurred during Testing phase and Production phase
· Collaborate and integrate with cross platform teams
