Job Description :

Title: Retirement Systems Specialist-SME:

Location: Piscataway, NJ

Duration: 12 months

Position type: W2 contract

Local to NJ or EST candidates preferred.

Domain experience requirements:

All must have knowledge areas Should have total of 12+ years experience with 5+ years of working experience within Retirement Industry with knowledge focusing on Defined Contribution Plans including 401k, 403b and other plan types and awareness of Defined Benefit plans and recordkeeping services such as: Understanding of Retirement Plan Process Flows and Administration Recordkeeping Software Legal Plan Documents Plan Provisions including Eligibility, Auto Enrolment, Contributions, Loans, Withdrawals, Vesting schedules Knowledge and awareness of updates pertaining to various IRS & ERISA rules and regulations related to Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Retirement plans Knowledge of entire lifecycle of retirement benefits services and recordkeeping system from plan setup to participant enrolment and disbursement Experience in establishing and supporting retirement services domain as a practice for business analysts would be preferable Experience of working with large/mid-scale projects from US Defined Contribution/ Defined Benefit Retirement services market BSA skillset requirements: Able to carry out independent and extensive requirement analysis for retirement service linked product by researching various existing design documentation, linking different business components or designs within system architecture and derive comprehensive business understanding. Should be proficient in all phases of requirements management (including gathering, analysing, detailing, and tracking requirements) Possess consulting skills and able to visualize and communicate process designs and solutions both at granular level and macro level leveraging variety of communication tools and systems. Should have thorough understanding and experience working through SDLC models

Responsibilities:

Leads requirements definition and design for complex projects and multi-year strategic initiatives. As a Product Owner, leads the product backlog refinement and grooming sessions with development team members Identify and translate business needs into clearly defined requirements, and create documentation inclusive of business use cases, process flows, data flows etc. Plan, facilitate, and conduct requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations with client and onsite / offshore teams. Leads review sessions for completed business/functional requirements with key business users focused on gaining consensus and final business approval. Collaborate with development and testing teams to provide subject matter expertise, ensure that out of the box functionality is leveraged and assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues. Ensure that proposed solutions are focused on improving efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes and are consistent across products where possible. Facilitate UAT execution phase and work with business lead and project manager to obtain user acceptance test signoff. Dynamic, self-motivated, and energetic with good communication and stakeholder management skills to drive the show in various phases of the project with minimal supervision As SME and Retirement services consultant contribute and develop knowledge area horizontals for Retirement Services domain as a practice within Synechron

Nice to have Skills:

Certification from any recognized institute such as American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) is preferable but not a pre-requisite Experienced with Agile SCRUM methodology (preferable to have any industry acknowledged BA certification such as CBAP, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner) Build strong relationships within the business units and support functions to understand the business needs.
