Hours per Week: Monday-Friday         

Shift:  8:00AM to 5:00PM

Engineer/Jr. Research Scientist; 60-80% onsite

We are looking for an Engineer/Jr. Research Scientist to support a Robot-based High-precision Mapping through LiDAR project. The project will be utilized to facilitate the usage of point clouds in an indoor navigation platform for people with visual impairments.
Critical Skills (Must have)

• Advanced C++ 11/14, Templates, Polymorphism, Efficient Data structures, Clear Coding, System Profiling and Optimization
• Python3 Numpy, PyTorch or Tensorflow
• Development experience in LINUX, Ubuntu 18-20 LTS Toolchain
• Software Engineering tools GIT, CMAKE & Doxygen
• Signal processing 2D, 3D including point cloud processing, image processing, computer vision, graph theory, camera calibration,
• Linear Algebra, Direct and Inverse Kinematics, Optimization

Desirable Skills
• Experience with ROS, OpenCV, OpenVino, OpenGL, OpenVR, OpenXR, PCL, ICP, Marching cubes, Voxelization, Implicit surfaces, NURBS
• LIDAR processing and algorithm development
• Robotic Planning & Control
• Real-time Processing and Visualization
• RPC, Distributed systems

Minimum a Bachelor's Degree is required but prefers Master or PhD degree with 3-5yrs of experience in the critical skills
