The EDI analyst/engineer/developer will work as a senior partner to the customer project teams and our product engineering organization to define requirements and alternative solutions. The role is project based and you’ll start from zero, culminating with a successful outcome that has a solution up and running that is easily maintainable and provides an interface between Brightflow AI’s software (including writing greenfield code in modern programming languages and environments) and EDI systems.
The position is remote but will require lots of overlap with US Pacific Time.
Basic Qualifications
· Experience with or interest in writing new and consuming existing modern REST APIs in NodeJs, Python (potentially other modern languages).
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
· Understanding of ANSI X12 standards, including documents such as 810, 850, 855, 856, and others.
· Experience with EDI communications standards, protocols, and approaches – VANs, SFTP, HTTPS.
· Experience with building and maintaining business-critical software live.
· Demonstrated experience with writing functional design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI failures, and with unit testing methods.
· Experience with Orderful and at least one EDI Software Implementation such as Gentran, Sterling, Contivo, etc., preferably multiple.
· Degree in related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
· Experience with EDIFACT standards.
· Successful characteristics for the position are the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
· Demonstrated experience managing complex projects.
· Experience with Cloud Technologies.
· Able to work in a diverse team.
