As a developer for Client’s Marketing properties on WordPress and supporting technologies, you will build and maintain front end experiences that engage visitors, drive lead generation, and enhance the overall student journey.

Job Description:
Participate in storyboarding and solution design sessions.
Recommend alternate approaches, define technical impacts, and provide sizing estimates
Create technical designs for new product functionality on Wiley’s Marketing Technology stack
Develop product capabilities using WordPress and other technologies.
Follow an iterative software development methodology and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and support.
Contribute to the development methodology.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of new product functionality.
Analyze and mitigate issues identified during testing.
Collaborate on and inform cross-functional teams of new feature technical design, technical requirements, limitations, and implementation.
Articulate development status to technical and non-technical audiences.
Continually refine business acumen and establish domain / industry vertical expertise.
Work closely with the marketing teams, including brand management, content, SEO, and UX to build front end experiences that meet the changing needs of our visitors and drive leads."
Required Skills:
4+ years’ experience WordPress design and development.
4+ years’ experience contributing as a direct resource on Marketing site deployments.
Proficiency on front end web technologies including WordPress, WordPress plug-ins, various analytic platforms, optimization technologies, and marketing automation technologies.
Proficiency with fundamental front-end languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SASS, Bootstrap, and Vue.js.
Proficiency with fundamental back-end languages like PHP and MySQL.
Familiarity with modern development workflow, including Git and Docker.
Experience working in an Agile environment.
Experience with AWS or Azure.
Experience with Drupal.
Great at multi-tasking and delivering quality solutions under deadlines.
Knowledge of SEO best practices and experience with tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
Natural affinity for website UX/UI and strong knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first development
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work constructively with team members towards a common goal.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
