Responsibilities

  • Create responsive UI components and pages using jQuery, JavaScript, CSS (SASS).
  • Provide guidance and instruction for accessibility best practices in web development.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, project manager, and designers on a daily basis.
  • Manage deliverables and deadlines ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
  • Participate in scrum and team meetings and should be able to work independently in a time critical environment and as part of a team on special and ongoing projects.

 

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience developing for the web.
  • Front end technology stack – HTML 5, XML, CSS 3 (SASS), JavaScript, jQuery, JSONP.
  • Strong understanding of the WCAG and what it means to ensure a web page meets web accessibility compliance guidelines.
  • Ability to teach and influence others the importance of adopting accessibility standards.
  • Passionate about accessibility.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
  • Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Web Framework (MWF) and/or Moray MWF is preferred.
  • Experience working in scalable content management systems (CMS); use or knowledge of Grav is desired (getgrav.org).
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and a team player.
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent certifications or work experience.
