Responsibilities:
Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate. Conducts studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs. May assist computer programmer in resolution of work problems related to project specifications, or programming. Assists in formulating logical descriptions of problems and devising optimum solutions. Provides support and makes recommendations for information technology systems and processes associated with software technology planning, development, implementation, system security and interfaces. Documents the input and output specifications for various technical backend interfacing applications and works closely with the development team to develop those interfaces. Able to query databases, validate the data and perform data analysis. Conducts integration and system testing to ensure the overall flow works as expected.
Qualifications:
5-8 years experience
Relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals, independently performs a variety of complicated tasks, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
3-5 years
Ability to analyze systems and procedures, to write and revise standards and procedures, to communicate effectively and to train others
Experience working with SQL
Experience with systems integration testing, analysis and documentation
Skilled in working on agile projects, utilizing scrum and waterfall methodologies
Skilled in extracting business, functional and non-functional requirements from business units and IT staff
8 years Experience in general IT SDLC processes
