System Administrator

 

Remote

This role is currently remote and will transition to a hybrid work model in you’ll need to occasionally report in office. The ideal candidate would be located near a Deloitte office in one of the following cities: Georgia - Atlanta, Texas – Austin, Dallas, Houston; Arizona – Gilbert, Phoenix; Florida – Lake Mary, Orlando, Tampa; North Carolina – Charlotte; Massachusetts – Boston.

Relocation and travel cost will not be permitted.

Job Responsibilities :

Application Configuration and Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, and software applications to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability on Windows Server.

System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitoring system performance, identifying issues, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of IT infrastructure.

Security and Compliance: Implementing and maintaining security measures, including access controls, firewalls, data backups, and disaster recovery plans, to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

User Support and Training: Providing technical support to end-users, assisting with system-related inquiries, troubleshooting user issues, and conducting user training sessions to enhance system usability and efficiency.

System Upgrades and Patch Management: Planning and implementing system upgrades, patches, and fixes to address vulnerabilities, improve system performance, and ensure the latest software versions are utilized.

Documentation and Reporting: Creating and maintaining system documentation, including configuration settings, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to relevant stakeholders.

Capacity Planning and Scalability: Analyzing system performance data, predicting resource needs, and planning for system capacity and scalability to accommodate future growth and changing business requirements.

Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including network administrators, database administrators, developers, and IT support staff, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of system components.

 

Key Skillsets :

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in system administration, proficiency in Windows operating systems administration.

Experience supporting SaaS solutions/vendor applications on on-premise & Cloud.

Hands-on PL/SQL scripting and database skills..

Troubleshooting and Problem-solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, analyze system logs, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.

Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with users, stakeholders, and team members, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Automation and Scripting: Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Perl) and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks, automate routine processes, and improve efficiency.

Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects, coordinate system upgrades and migrations, and meet project deadlines within established budgets, knowledge of JIRA/ServiceNow a plus
