Job Description: 

As a Release Train Manager, an agile project manager, you will collaborate
and align with software product teams and R&D, Portfolio and Business Unit
leadership in planning and delivering customer value in short-cycles.

Through your passion for Continuous Improvement and your experience with
implementing Lean-Agile practices for software development programs, you
will support AVEVA product teams to continuously learn and align toward
achieving higher performance.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the process for delivering releases on time by monitoring risks and
    dependencies, escalating impediments and coordinating the release approval
  • Facilitate collection and review of program metrics in agile cadence
    meetings, working with the team to proactively surface and resolve issues
    that may impact achieving targets
  • Organize the Program Increment (PI) planning events, ensuring teams are
    prepared in advance and their plans are achievable and approved by
  • Coach Agile Release Train (ART) management, Scrum Teams, and Scrum Masters
    in Lean-Agile and continuous improvement practices and mindsets
  • Facilitate ART management meetings, communication to stakeholders and
    release announcements


  • You have project management experience in agile software development
    including planning, reporting and delivery
  • You have demonstrated the ability to surface project risks, analyze root
    cause and resolve issues
  • You have led the software release management process
  • You have demonstrated excellent communication and relationship management
    skills with team members, peers, and senior leadership
  • Your SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or PMP certification is an asset

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with 7+
    years related post-secondary experience in software/systems development,
    preferably in the SCADA industry, or
  • A Technology Diploma with 9+ years related post-secondary experience in
    software/systems development, preferably in the SCADA industry.
