About the Position
We are seeking a Windows Software Engineer to join our team of dynamic engineers. You will be building next-generation software for the food distribution industry. This role will be working with existing engineers to upgrade the database platform of our Windows based ERP from Sybase Advantage to PostgreSQL. Must be able to prioritize tasks and strive to ensure 100% uptime of critical software systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker who has outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Help the team design and maintain a migration tool from Advantage to PostgreSQL
· Help the team design and maintain a database version maintenance tool.
· Help the team with upgrading table-based database access to be query based access.
· Assist with modernizing the application by creating robust RESTful APIs.
· Test, debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade software.
· Follow the software development lifecycle processes
Skills & Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Windows based software engineer
· Experience with full-stack application development using SOLID design principles
· Knowledge of SQL; table design, queries, stored procedures.
· Experience with Delphi, C#, C++
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Must be a self-starter, critical-thinker, solution-seeker, and problem-solver
Preferred Experience
· Familiarity with ERP systems and order entry
· Experience developing web/mobile applications.
· Experience working in the food service industry.
Compensation and Benefits
· Salary range is $90K - $110K a year based on experience.
