About the Position
We are seeking a Web-based Software Engineer to join our team of dynamic engineers. You will be building next-generation software for the food distribution industry. This role will be working with existing engineers to modernize our browser-based online ordering system. Must be able to prioritize tasks and strive to ensure 100% uptime of critical software systems. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker who has outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Assist with modernizing the application by creating robust RESTful APIs.
· Help the team design and maintain a modernized UI/UX.
· Help the team with integrating the backend into the redesign front end.
· Assist with helping the team write quality unit and functional tests.
· Test, debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade software.
· Follow the software development lifecycle processes
Skills & Requirements
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Web-based software engineer
· Experience with full-stack application development using SOLID design principles.
· Knowledge of SQL; table design, queries, stored procedures.
· Experience with PHP, extJS, & JavaScript.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Must be a self-starter, critical-thinker, solution-seeker, and problem-solver
Preferred Experience
· Familiarity with ERP systems and order entry
· Experience with DevOPs tasks
· Experience developing Windows applications.
· Experience working in the food service industry.
Compensation and Benefits
· Salary range is $90K - $110K a year based on experience.
